U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases Selects eResearchTechnology eResearch Network

PHILADELPHIA -- eResearchTechnology, Inc. (eRT), a leading e-research technology and services provider, announced today that it has entered into an agreement to provide an integrated technology and services solution that includes an end-to-end clinical research platform for the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID).

eRT's eResearch Network, an integrated suite of applications for clinical data management, trial management and monitoring, and adverse event management and reporting, will be deployed to support clinical development and related activities of the Special Immunizations Program (SIP) at USAMRIID. Based at Fort Detrick, Md., USAMRIID is the Department of Defense's lead laboratory for medical aspects of biological warfare defense. Its charter includes the conduct of research to develop vaccines, drugs and diagnostics for laboratory and field use. eRT is participating in the initiative with prime contractor Raven Microhan of Herndon, Va.
