Coming Clean on Laundry Issues

I was at home last night doing laundry. After properly separating colors and fabrics, I proceeded to put the items in the washer. One of the items I placed in there was a scrub top I wear around the house. This got me thinking about how many healthcare professionals launder their own scrubs at home, how many wear them on public transportation, etc. I know there are rules about what you can wear out of a hospital, or for that matter, what you can wear into various parts of the hospital, but are there any consistent guidelines? The rules seem to be constantly evolving.

We are about to publish an exclusive report, "Healthcare Textiles: Laundry Science and Infection Prevention," that will explore the science of healthcare textile laundering and issues related to the prevention of cross-contamination. Be one of the first to receive this report by clicking HERE. As always, I am interested to learn your thoughts on this topic. It always seems to creep into a conversation from time to time.
