ICT Debuts New Web Site as Part of "Next-Generation" Transformation

Infection Control Today magazine unveiled its new Web site at the annual meeting of the Association for Professionals in Infection Prevention and Epidemiology (APIC), held in New Orleans July 11-15.

As the Internet changes the way information is disseminated, it provides an opportunity for ICT to capitalize on its timely and compelling generation of expert content. Because the infection prevention and control community, as well as the healthcare epidemiology community, is evolving so rapidly, ICT has ramped up its ability to respond even more quickly to industry events and developments via news, blogs, articles and Web exclusives that supplement and expound upon ICT’s print magazine.

The new ICT Web site has all of the content you have come to know, love and depend upon for the last 14 years, but in a more dynamic, easier-to-access format. In the "Latest Headlines" section, you’ll find the streaming content feed that contains all of the latest postings, presented in chronological order with the most recent information appearing at the top of the section. An expansive and comprehensive "Topics" library is as fast way to access material, as are the new "Hot Topics" and "Categories" in the Web site’s navigational bar at the very top of the site. Both features are designed to help index and highlight the issues and information that is critical to implementation in your daily practice. A "Search" function also aids in a quick and easy way to call up more than a decade’s worth of information produced by ICT.

While the ICT Web site still houses our extensive education platform -- consisting of Webinars and e-Books, plus the industry Buyer’s Guide and other pertinent resources – it also hosts an extraordinary new online community called ICTalk. This forum is an interactive chat room where infection preventionists from all areas of healthcare can meet online to discuss issues, exchange ideas, ask questions, provide answers, and network in a professional, yet fun and welcoming atmosphere.
