Infections Linked to Heart Disease

WASHINGTON, DC-New research shows sinusitis, bronchitis, and urinary tract infections may increase a person's risk of heart disease.

Studies have long shown that stomach ulcers and gum disease are risk factors for heart disease. One study found 85% of heart-attack patients have periodontal disease. This fact only adds to a dentist's reminder of the importance of dental care.
