AHRMM Provides Members with Access to Online Supply Chain Education Through the Accenture Supply Chain Academy

CHICAGO -- The Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) announces a new member resource geared to providing online education to materials managers and supply chain professionals in the healthcare field.  Accentures Supply Chain Academy (www.supplychainacademy.com) is an online curriculum of supply chain courses that  combines the best and latest thinking of academic and business experts, and delivers it in a flexible program to any member with Internet access. Now, through a partnership with Accenture, a wide range of Supply Chain Academy courses will be made available to AHRMM members.

For AHRMM members, the Supply Chain Academy is expected to help reset the bar for supply chain excellence and quality by providing a consistent, definable and repeatable learning process for health care organizations. This is a unique program that offers broad content and extensive depth to help build skills in supply chain and materials management.  The Supply Chain Academys course content addresses all major supply chain business functions, such as inventory, distribution, purchasing, strategic planning and leadership, and supply and information systems.

There are a total of 134 Supply Chain Academy courses from which to choose. From those, AHRMM has identified 45 courses to support the development, delivery and management of a healthcare supply chain operation. All coursework completed applies toward Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit.

AHRMM also promotes the Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) credentialing program. This nationally recognized credential identifies leaders in the materials management field and indicates a broad perspective and extensive knowledge of healthcare supply chain issues. Complete information on AHRMM and its relationship with the Accenture Supply Chain Academy can be found at www.ahrmm.org.
