ASHES Announces 2006 Environmental Services and Housekeeping Week

CHICAGO -- The American Society for Healthcare Ennvironmental Services (ASHES) announces that Sept. 10-16, 2006 has been declared as National Healthcare Environmental  Services and Housekeeping Week.

With the theme, Extraordinary People, Extraordinary Work, this week recognizes the significance of  the people who perform the myriad of duties that is healthcare environmental services and  housekeeping and showcases the integral role these people play in delivering high-quality care, safety,  satisfaction and infection control practices for the patients and communities they serve. All healthcare organizations are encouraged to participate in this special week by recognizing their  environmental services staff and the important work they do.
