With the theme, "Environmental Services: Partners in Quality, Patient Safety, Excellence," this week is set aside to recognize the importance of the environmental services and housekeeping staff who work on the healthcare front lines to provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff through their high-quality services, patient safety satisfaction, and infection prevention and control practices.

All healthcare facilities are encouraged to participate in Environmental Services and Housekeeping Week by recognizing their staff at special events, luncheons, or activities geared toward employee and departmental recognition.
