Kimberly-Clark Professional Introduces New Foam Hand Sanitizer for Healthcare Workers

Kimberly-Clark Professional announces the availability of the new Kleenex Ultra Moisturizing Foam Hand Sanitizer for use in the healthcare setting. With 70 percent alcohol content, it is effective against the most common bacteria that can contaminate surfaces and cause infection. The new foam hand sanitizer leaves hands soft, smooth and less sticky and improves skin hydration by 30 percent.

In a controlled, double-blind study, conducted by Kimberly-Clark of 100 nurses, 2 out of 3 preferred Kleenex Ultra Moisturizing Foam Hand Sanitizer over another brand. Preference was determined after three applications of each product. Kleenex Ultra Moisturizing Foam Hand Sanitizer dries fast and leaves hands softer than the leading competitor.

This new formulation has been specifically developed with the needs of healthcare workers in minda highly effective and nourishing sanitization product that offers protection against bacteria and fungi typically found in healthcare environments, says Jackie Martin, marketing director of the healthcare segment for Kimberly-Clark Professional. The new Kleenex Ultra Moisturizing Foam Hand Sanitizer is cost effective because it delivers nearly twice the number of shots as gel products of the same size.  This product will moisturize skin for up to two hours after application. It helps contribute to a safer, healthier and more productive healthcare environment.

Additionally, the proprietary moisturizing formula reduces the sticky feel users experience after multiple uses with other hand sanitizers, which is valuable for healthcare professionals who need to clean their hands hundreds of times per day.
