The upcoming cold and flu season may be one of the busiest in years, with the added threat of the H1N1 virus. The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA) is hosting a free webinar on Sept. 24 to help community leaders prepare for these potential threats to public health.
“Education and preparation are the keys to keeping us healthy. SDA’s cold and flu webinar is ideal for health professionals, consumer educators, school nurses, teachers, cleaning product industry professionals and all others who are involved in health and hygiene programming,” says Nancy Bock, SDA’s vice president of education.
Joining Bock as presenters for the webinar will be Dr. Diane Allensworth, of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Division of Adolescent and School Health; and Barbara Hyde, director of communications for the American Society of Microbiology.
The one-hour webinar will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 beginning at 6p.m. ET. For more information, visit www.cleaning101.com/HandHygiene/cold-and-flu-season-webinar.pdf. Reserve your webinar seat at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/252371338.
