ECRI Institute, a nonprofit organization that researches the best approaches to improving patient care, announces a new platform for the Healthcare Product Comparison System. This database of equipment model specifications is now customizable, with new comparison features for more than 450 types of medical devices, providing information to support effective decision-making.
The new capital medical device tool assists hospital biomedical engineers, materials managers, architects, and equipment planners with the complex task of understanding, analyzing, and purchasing medical equipment. The redesigned side-by-side comparison charts can now be customized by model selection. The improved comparison system offers filters on manufacturers, region, pricing, FDA status, and much more. ECRI Institute’s industry-standard recommendation specifications are highlighted to make decisions easier for the user.
“We listened to our customers, and the enhanced database represents the desired filters, comparisons, and product information requested by our informed healthcare decision makers,” says Linda Weir, manager of the Healthcare Product Comparison System.
The all-new web platform is enriched with more intuitive navigation, advanced filters, customized views, easy sorting and faster updating.
