The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) will hold the webinar, "Wet Packs: Moisture Assessment and Prevention," on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET. This webinar will address moisture assessment, including wet loads as well as wet packs, when reprocessing a medical device. It covers a new amendment to ST79 and will explore issues with wet packs, identification of wet packs, and troubleshooting activities to eliminate or avoid wet packs. At the end of the presentation, the audience will be invited to unmute and share their experiences with moisture assessment.
The program will:
- Discuss the sources of internal and external moisture on sterilized devices.
- Describe available tools to help guide an investigational process on moisture assessment.
- Identify ways to help prevent wet packs/loads.
