The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc. (SGNA) announces a week-long celebration with the new GI Nurses and Associates Week, March 24-28, 2014. Each day will have a special focus to highlight the topics and issues that are top of mind for GI/endoscopy nursing professionals:
 
Monday, March 24
Spreading the Word: Awareness Day
Share the importance of GI health through efforts like Colorectal Cancer Awareness. Plan now to wear blue, and look for information on advocacy efforts SGNA is doing on your behalf and how you can be involved.

Tuesday, March 25
Time Out for Education Day
Commit a few minutes to learn something new today! SGNA will share different tools and resources, including a free, live webinar, Fecal Microbiota Transplantation: The Real Poop Scoop, at 6 p.m. Central Time, supported by PENTAX Medical Company. SGNA will also offer special Marketplace sales.

Wednesday, March 26
Celebrating You: GI Nurses and Associates Day
Today is all about you. Take time and celebrate each other and your passion for GI. Check out the free resources online to inspire festivities in your unit.
 
Thursday, March 27
Honoring Patient Safety: Infection Prevention Day
Patient safety relies on every member of the GI team. Honor each other, from those responsible for reprocessing endoscopes to those delivering excellent patient care.

Friday, March 28
Building a Stronger Future: Evidence-based Practice Day
