ROSWELL, Ga-Healthcare workers from the US, and Korea joined together at Kimberly-Clark's corporate facility in Roswell, Ga, to discuss the latest in infectious diseases December 3-5.
"The knowledge that perioperative healthcare providers have with regard to expeditious diagnosis, treatment, and support will be pivotal to a positive outcome for patients and the communities," said Sheila Allen, president of AORN. "Registered perioperative practitioners can never be too well informed because these are the people who will be at the forefront of care for any threat from infectious diseases."
Presenters included Barry M. Farr, MD, MSC, epidemiologist, and William S. Jordan Jr., professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Virginia Health System.
