Surveys Reveal Hospital Leaders, IPs Share Concerns About Barriers to Environmental Hygiene
Hospital leaders in the C-suite and infection preventionists (IPs) perceive many issues related to environmental hygiene somewhat similarly, according to the results of two separate surveys of IPs and healthcare institution/system administrators conducted in May 2015 by Infection Control Today magazine. This report summarizes the survey data.
The surveys of IPs and members of the C-suite conducted by Infection Control Today magazine reveal that their healthcare institutions continue to work toward improving the quality and efficacy of their environmental cleaning and disinfection efforts, but indicate that real barriers to improving practice exist.
