CDC Telebriefing on Ebola Outbreak in West Africa

Stephan Monroe, deputy director of CDC's National Center for Emerging Zoonotic and Infectious Diseases,  participated in a teleconference regarding the current Ebola virus disease outbreak in West Africa. Since the first report surfaced in March, there have been more than 1,201 cases reported and 672 deaths in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, Monroe reported, making it the largest Ebola outbreak in history and the first in West Africa.
