New Nurse Call System Aids Patient Care

CHICAGO - Jeron Electronic Systems, Inc., has created a new touchscreen computer system to organize hospital floors. Nurses can select the area they are working in to view the patient name and information, the healthcare worker assigned to the area and necessary equipment located nearby.

The Touchscreen Master works with the Omnilink Series 9700 and the Provider 680 Nurse Call System. Together, they map out the floor plan, allowing the healthcare worker to select room icons, which correspond with call priority level. Staff locations can also be displayed.

When room calls are answered, patient details are displayed. Additional information that can be monitored/featured includes: nurse or aide locations equipment location, set/display call status, set group monitor, swing rooms, group page, mobile communication, public address, call forward and night transfer.

Up to four floor plans can be installed.
