Charles GerbaCharles P. Gerba, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Soil, Water and Environmental Science at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Gerba's expertise includes environmental microbiology, virology, parasitology and risk assessment. Gerba earned his doctorate in microbiology from the University of Miami and his bachelor of science in microbiology from Arizona State University. He is widely published and is a sought-after expert in the mainstream and technical media.
