HIGHLAND PARK, ILL-Ovation Research Group has formed a new company, Ovationet, to provide on-line consumer-oriented outcomes registries for individuals with chronic diseases. Operating as Invida Outcomes Network, the company hopes to launch its site in the third quarter of 2000 at www.invida.com. The president of Ovation Research Group and chairman of Invida, Jeffrey Trotter, said, "Invida will help patients and their healthcare providers monitor and manage chronic conditions by making outcomes research more accessible and meaningful to them. Patients know best how compliant they are with therapies, how medications help them, and how they feel about their lives. By aggregating this information with thousands of others with the same chronic conditions, we will provide invaluable information for patients to share with their healthcare providers and families."
