COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Microtek Medical Holdings, Inc. announces that its wholly owned subsidiary Microtek Medical, Inc. has signed a strategic supply agreement with DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. to manufacture and supply certain of DePuy's orthopaedic medical devices and operating room equipment products. Under the manufacturing supply agreement, Microtek will become a primary supplier of these products for DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company.
DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., headquartered in Warsaw, Ind., is engaged in the business of, among other things, developing and marketing orthopaedic implants and operating room equipment.
Dan R. Lee, the company's president and CEO, stated, "Our alliance with DePuy Orthopaedics is significant to our ongoing strategy of leveraging Microtek's manufacturing capabilities to broaden the Company's healthcare market penetration. Under this manufacturing supply agreement, we expect to generate up to $5 million in annual revenues for our Innovative Services division.
