MUNDELEIN, Ill. -- Medline Industries, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, announced today that it has signed a three-year agreement to purchase mouth rinse from Chester Labs, a manufacturer of liquid products for personal care, infection control and diagnostic use in medical facilities.
"Given recent shortages of mouth rinse in the healthcare market, we are happy to extend our partnership with Chester Labs to continue providing our customers with mouth rinse that meets FDA standards," said Andy Mills, president of Medline.
This agreement will ensure that Medline receives an increased volume of alcohol-free mouth rinse to accommodate its customer needs. Medline distributes the mouth rinse under the Medline label to hospitals, medical centers and long-term care facilities nationwide.
"Chester Labs is very pleased to enter into this agreement with Medline. It gives Chester the security to invest in this segment of our business to increase capacity at a time when it is very much needed. It also provides Medline and its customers a reliable, high-quality source of supply," said John Armstrong, president of Chester Labs.
Each lot of mouth rinse is tested for microbial contamination of pathogenic bacteria such as B. cepacia. All bottles carry a sealed foil cap to protect the integrity of the product.
