The 2000 APIC 27th Annual Educational Conference and International Meeting announced the launch of Sharps Safety Best Ideas Awards Initiative. In conjunction with APIC, SIMS Portex, Inc. will be making up to $10,000 in monetary awards available to healthcare professionals that contribute their ideas to the preventions and management of sharps object injuries.
