Xhale Innovations (XI) announces that it will showcase its hand hygiene system, HyGreen® , at the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) Annual Scientific Meeting to be held April 1-4 in Dallas.
XI will demonstrate its real-time electronic hand hygiene monitoring and reminding system at booth #902. HyGreen is designed to remind healthcare workers to wash their hands while recording all interactions in a database. This gives hospitals the means of providing objective feedback on individual healthcare workers, reinforcement of good hand hygiene behaviors, and the ability to assess adherence to hand hygiene standards.
"With healthcare associated infections on the rise, and pending legislative enactment by CMS, it is more important than ever to improve patient safety and quality through reducing infections," says XI CEO Craig T. Davenport. "SHEA attendees will get a unique opportunity to use HyGreen and talk to experts about how HyGreen can work in their infection control programs."
The HyGreen system was designed to reflect guidelines from leading industry experts, including those from the the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Joint Commission.
A study on the efficacy of HyGreen will be presented at SHEA 2011 on Saturday, April 2. "We are excited that data on the HyGreen system is being presented at SHEA," says XI CTO, Richard Melker, MD. "Attendees will learn how HyGreen can form an efficient and effective foundation for infection control."
