ARLINGTON, VA-The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) has joined forces with the software company Dyadem International to provide a software package designed to assist in the hazard identification and management of the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The software includes reporting features for analyzing the components of medical devices, detailing cause and effect failure modes, and maintaining risk priority data. Consequently, an FMEA team is able to produce a variety of reports based on the input data.
The AAMI believes the software will help medical device manufacturers adhere to strict regulatory requirements and produce safer products in a cost-effective manner. Consequently, the AAMI is offering a $1,000 discount on FMEA For Medical Devices 5 software to its members. For more information, contact Dyadem customer service at (905) 940-1600.
