Christopher Weiss, PhD, is a senior scientist at MRIGlobal in the Infectious Diseases Surveillance and Diagnostics group. Weiss has more than a decade of experience as a virologist, including basic and applied research with emerging viral pathogens like SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. At MRIGlobal, Dr. Weiss supports clinical diagnostic development and co-leads multiple cutting-edge programs seeking to improve human health through the early and accurate diagnosis of the pathogens that make us sick.
