Franklin Dexter, MD, PhD, FASA, is a professor of anesthesia at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. He receives no funds personally other than his salary and allowable expense reimbursements from the University of Iowa, has tenure with no incentive program, and has no financial holdings in any company related to his work, other than indirectly through mutual funds for retirement.
