Karen M. Jones, MPH, RN, CIC, FAPIC, has been an acute care infection preventionist since 2009 and has conducted infection prevention research at hospitals and nursing homes. She has 15 years’ experience as an emergency department nurse in Chicago and Detroit, and her interests are translational research and the mentorship of nursing home infection preventionists.
