SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Ascent Healthcare Solutions today announced the launch of a redesigned, intuitive Web site, www.ascenths.com, containing extensive information about the company, which resulted from the 2006 merger between Alliance Medical Corp. and Vanguard Medical Concepts. The combination made Ascent the largest independent third-party reprocessor of single-use medical devices (SUDs) in the nation.
The new site allows visitors to easily learn about the companys offerings and unique programs, such as Ascents comprehensive AIM (Assessment, Implementation and Management) for Excellence program. AIM simplifies the implementation of a reprocessing program and maximizes savings for Ascents hospital partners. The site also describes its GO GREEN program, which reduces medical waste by recycling metals and plastics from devices.Â
The redesign contains a password-protected portal for Ascents customers, allowing them to view, in real time, the status of their orders. Hospitals can also track their reprocessing program savings, verify delivery dates for reprocessed items and download usable reporting templates, among other functions.
The site contains detailed descriptions of the companys mission and operations, environmental stewardship, press releases, trade show participation and listings of SUDs which the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the company to reprocess. The Web site also links visitors to a Position Statements section that presents comments from various governmental agencies and medical organizations that oversee or interact with the reprocessing industry.
We hope our reprocessing partners and the public will find this new site more useful than ever before, said Arthur Goodrich, vice president of business development for Ascent. Reprocessing is a high-growth industry that more hospitals rely on for recurring supply-cost savings and environmental stewardship. The site is organized and displayed for easy access to the information most requested by hospitals, hospital delivery networks, group purchasing organizations, and others interested in reprocessing.
Ascent Healthcare Solutions has reprocessed more than 50 million SUDs for more than 1,700 healthcare facilities nationwide.
