Case Medical, Inc.® a vertically integrated, product development and manufacturer offering custom designed and modular "do-it-yourself" sterilization systems for the medical industry, and TSO3 Inc., a leading innovator and developer of low-temperature sterilization systems for the healthcare industry, jointly announced that SteriTite instrument containers and MediTray inserts engineered and manufactured by Case Medical demonstrate excellent compatibility with TSO3's new STERIZONE® VP4 Sterilizer, which is now cleared for sale in the U.S.
"Case Medical's complete line of instrument containers including the SteriTite closed bottom container, perform flawlessly when processed in the TSO3's STERIZONE® VP4 Sterilizer," says Marcia Frieze, Case Medical's president and CEO. "Data collected clearly demonstrates the ability to sterilize containerized instruments and maintain the sterility of reprocessed devices when using this new and innovative sterilizer. The company is taking all necessary steps to add the STERIZONE® Sterilization System to its instructions for use with its existing container systems."
"This endorsement from Case Medical highlights the innovative nature of our new STERIZONE® Sterilization System," says R.M. Rumble, TSO3's president and CEO. "We have once again demonstrated an industry first, that of being the only hydrogen peroxide low temperature sterilization system capable of achieving sterilization in a closed bottom container, once again meaning better utilization of existing hospital inventory and contributing to healthcare's standardization goals. Case Medical is an important supplier of both branded and private labeled containers to many of the largest instrument manufacturers in the U.S."
The STERIZONE® VP4 Sterilizer developed by TSO3 was recently cleared by the US regulatory agency as a Two or More Sterilant Sterilizer. This clearance took place under a newly developed product code, PJJ. The STERIZONE® VP4 Sterilizer is the first of its kind in low temperature sterilization systems and utilizes vaporized hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and ozone. Its single cycle can sterilize a large number and wide range of compatible devices, thereby allowing for cost effective and error-free sterilization process. TSO3's unique Dynamic Sterilant Delivery System automatically adjusts the quantity of injected sterilant based on the load composition, weight and temperature.
