Getinge Industrier, parent company of Getinge/Castle, has acquired Maquet AG Germany.
Maquet is one of the world's largest surgical table manufacturers. Getinge/Castle is a worldwide supplier of disinfection, sterilization, and surgical equipment.
A spokesperson for Getinge/Castle said the company will now be more prepared to supply surgical suites.
Getinge/Castle, which is based in Rochester, NY, has a strong American and Canadian client base, while Maquet's annual sales of approximately $140 million are primarily in Europe and the Asia/Pacific region.
