Halyard Health Recognizes Healthcare Professionals Dedicated to Infection Prevention

Article

Halyard Health, a global medical technology company focused on preventing infection, eliminating pain and speeding recovery, announces the recipients of the Josh Nahum Special Award for Achievement in the Infection Prevention and Control category as part of the annual Partnership for Health and Accountability (PHA) Quality and Patient Safety Award program. Now in its eighth year, the award is co-sponsored by the PHA, an affiliate of the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA), Halyard Health and the Safe Care Campaign.

The PHA Quality and Patient Safety Award recognizes healthcare organizations for their achievements in implementing evidence-based processes and best practices to reduce the risk of adverse outcomes and improving patient safety and quality. The Josh Nahum Special Achievement Award for Infection Prevention and Control was established in 2007 by Victoria and Armando Nahum, in partnership with Halyard Health and GHA, in memory of their son Josh, who died from a healthcare-associated infection.

The recipients of the Josh Nahum Special Achievement Award represent the members of GHA’s Partnership for Health and Accountability that hold themselves to the highest standards in the infection prevention and control space by educating patients and physicians on the dangers of HAIs and proper prevention methods, practices and solutions.
