The American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) has presented its 2008 Phoenix Award to Thomas Fitzgerald III, assistant healthcare system director for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System in California. The society’s highest honor recognizes an individual who has made a lasting impact in the organization through outstanding contributions to the field of healthcare environmental services and textile care services.
