Measles and the Rubeola Virus
Measles was eliminated in 2000, but recent vaccination gaps have caused a wide outbreak.

The U.S. is seeing its largest measles outbreak in decades, largely among unvaccinated children. In this segment, the consequences of falling immunization rates, immune amnesia, and long-term effects of measles (on the immune system, lungs, and brain) are covered.
