Today, on the CDC’s Safe Healthcare Blog, Orlaith Staunton, mother of 12-year-old sepsis victim Rory Staunton, shares her efforts in rallying families to raise sepsis awareness among healthcare workers and the public. Since Rory’s death, Orlaith and her husband have worked tirelessly to educate the public and policy-makers about sepsis and how it can be combated.
