Slide Show: Patient Safety in Ambulatory Care

Slideshow

A report from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Institute for Quality Improvement (the AAAHC Institute) says safe injection practices are a top patient safety concern at ambulatory healthcare providers. The AAAHC Quality Roadmap 2015 synthesizes data from more than 1,300 on-site accreditation surveys performed by AAAHC from June 2014 to June 2015. In addition to safe injection practices, the report names credentialing and privileging, and peer review as quality improvement areas for ambulatory healthcare providers to address moving into 2016, while at the same time highlighting patient-centered care as a prime benefit of ambulatory healthcare.
