Spectra254, a developer of high-power, easy-to-use, and affordable UVC light decontamination systems, will exhibit products at the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses’ Surgical Conference & Expo in Denver, March 7-11, 2015 at the Colorado Convention Center.
Spectra254 will showcase the Spectra254 product line of portable ultraviolet light-generating systems, ideal for use in hospitals, health clinics, nurse assisted living and other settings where contamination is of critical concern. More than 5,000 doctors, nurses, facility managers, medical distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and purchasing agents will attend AORN Surgical Conference & Expo 2015. The conference is a premier perioperative event hosted by the Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN), a non-profit membership association that represents the interests of more than 160,000 perioperative nurses.
Spectra254 will display two of its products at AORN Surgical Conference & Expo 2015, the Spectra 1000 Series and Spectra RDS-30 rapid decontamination system. The Series 1000 systems are design for the rapid deployment and decontamination of hospital patient rooms, emergency rooms and the OR suite. The RDS-30 is designed to rapidly decontaminate electronic devices that are shared across healthcare teams, including tablets, keyboards, cell phones, TV remote controls and other devices.
Both devices have been thoroughly tested and evaluated by independent laboratories and found to be 99.9 percent effective at eliminating surface and air pathogens, including MRSA and an Ebola-like virus. Spectra254 is exhibiting in Booth 4335 at the conference.
“Recent spikes in infection rates of Ebola virus, C. difficile and other HAIs, along with the reemergence of measles and mumps make highly-effective infection control mandatory in today’s healthcare setting. Hospitals and post-acute care facilities that incorporate both terminal cleaning and UVC offer the highest level of disinfection and the safest environment for both patients and healthcare workers,” says Sanford Green, a senior executive at Spectra254. “The UVC solutions we offer provide an efficacy level greater than 99.9 percent and can easily decontaminate a 400-square-foot area in five minutes.”
