Eduardo Velazquez, BASc, BS, CHL, CRCST, CFER, CSPDT, is a sterile processing manager at a Level I Trauma Center with more than 8 years of progressive leadership experience in sterile processing and perioperative support. He began his career as a sterile processing technician, advancing to supervisor and educator roles, during which he also taught sterile processing at a local community college.

Today, he oversees multiple supervisors and a large team supporting surgical services around the clock. Eduardo is an active contributor to AAMI Standards Week, participating in the review and development of national sterile processing standards. His work bridges frontline technical expertise, staff education, and the management of high-volume hospital operations.
