AHRMM Announces National Healthcare Resource & Materials Management Week

CHICAGO -- The Association for Healthcare Reesource & Materials Management (AHRMM) announces that the 2006 National Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (MM) Week is scheduled for October 1-7, 2006.

This years event theme, Resource & Materials Management: Professionals Providing Solutions, recognizes the integral role materials management professionals play in delivering high-quality patient care throughout the healthcare field. During the week, organizations are encouraged to participate by acknowledging materials management professionals through special events and staff-wide recognition.

The healthcare supply chain continues grow, and our profession provides a crucial function in making sure our nations hospitals operate efficiently 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, said Robert Perry, president of AHRMM. Materials Management Week celebrates the hard work and the significant contributions each professional makes to health care every day.
