AHRMM Announces Resource & Materials Management Week

CHICAGO -- The Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) has declared October 2-8, 2005 as National Healthcare Resource & Materials Management Week.

With the theme, Outstanding People, Outstanding Results, National Healthcare Resource & Materials Management Week recognizes the integral role of materials management departments in the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Our profession has grown in stature tremendously over the last twenty years. An efficient supply chain is the backbone of hospitals and a crucial lifeline to the entire healthcare system, noted Susan Kreiss, president of AHRMM. This years theme reflects the intelligence, savvy, and dedication of the professionals who keep our nations hospitals stocked and running.

Hospitals are encouraged to participate in this commemorative week by acknowledging materials management and procurement professionals with special events and staff-wide recognition.
