BETHLEHEM, Pa - Officials from medical supply companies B. Braun and Venetic International agreed to work together to promote needlestick safety for clinicians and patients in the United States and Canada.
The two-year agreement allows engineers at B. Braun to include Venetec's StatLock IV safety securement device with their Ultrasite needle-free capless valve IV system and central-venous-catheter kits.
"The combination of Ultrasite and StatLock IV will help B. Braun in its mission to deliver innovated and cost effective solutions that enhance both patient and provider safety," says B. Braun's vice president of marketing Sheila Kempf. "This is a natural fit for our corporate-wide safety initiative that addresses patient and clinician safety on all fronts - through products, training, education and professional services."
