Article

CYNTHIANA, Ky. -- For the second consecutive year, Bullard has been awarded the Commitment to Worker Safety Award in the category of respiratory protection, presented by Workplace HR & Safety magazine. The award recognized Bullard achievement in safety equipment product development. Last year, the Bullard PA30IS intrinsically safe (IS) Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) received the award. This year, the Bullard Clean Air Box (CAB) is being recognized.

Presented at the 2007 National Safety Council Annual Congress in Chicago, this award is based on the innovation, impact on worker safety and ease of use of the CAB.

Bullard is extremely honored to be recognized for a second consecutive year with the Commitment to Worker Safety Award in the respiratory protection category, said Bullard respiratory product manger Grant Rowe. The addition of the CAB series rounds out the Bullard supplied air respirator line providing the customer a complete solution from the compressor all the way to the end users breathing zone. Bullard always strives to provide the highest protection, comfort and value to those who choose its products and it is a special bonus to receive an award like this.

The Bullard CAB offers top value in breathing air filtration and monitoring. Providing Grade D particulate filtration to industrial markets, the CAB Series features safe, user-friendly capabilities and meets NEC standards, offering a superior breathing air system.

Designed with worker protection and simplicity in mind, the CAB presents the following reliable features:

-- Standard audible and visual alarm permits worker to see and hear when CO level is high

-- Automatic calibration executes in 90 seconds without tools, eliminating time-consuming manual calibration

-- Redundant 12 & 9 V back-up allows for 80 hours of battery runtime

-- In-line CO monitor allows air to be monitored more quickly.

CAB Series products are available in rugged Pelican® cases and can be configured with many types of respirators including half masks, full face and hood style. This flexibility and durability will meet the needs for a variety of applications including: spray foam installation, abrasive blasting, grinding and painting.

Bullard CAB can be purchased with any Bullard supplied air respirators, hoses, fittings and masks.
