ALAMEDA, Calif-Calypte Biomedical Corporation has received IS 9001, EN 46001, and ISO 13485 certification. ISO certification is recognized for the using best manufacturing practices in a wide variety of products, including medical devices.

ISO is an international standards body consisting of 130 countries. The organizations promotes the development of standardization and related activities in the world concerning the exchanges of goods and services, and developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual scientific, technological, and economic activity.

Calptye Biomedical Corp. is based in Alameda, California. The public healthcare company develops urine-based diagnostic products and services for HIV-1, sexually transmitted diseases, and other infectious disease. The company believes that non-invasive urine-based testing for HIV and other infectious disease make important contributions to public health.
