The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated the Interim Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations for Hospitalized Patients with Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV). The updated guidance added new information on:

• Management of ill healthcare workers
• Considerations for patient visitors
• Aerosol-generating procedures
• Hand hygiene
APIC and CDC are teaming up to provide a free webinar on infection control considerations for MERS-CoV on May 28, 2014 at 1 p.m. ET.
