E.coli Outbreak Rises to 30

American Foods Group Inc., has recalled 1.1.million pounds of group beef after people across the Midwest began getting sick. There are now 30 people across three states who have allegedly fallen ill from eating the tainted beef.

Three of those sickened remain in the hospital.

The ground beef was prepared at a Green Bay, Wis. plant in early November. American Foods said it has found no evidence of the E.coli bacteria entered the ground beef on its premises.

The recall involved Cub Food stores and stores supplied by Supervalue Inc., in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
