HERNDON, Va. -- Focus Technologies, Inc. announced today that its infectious disease reference laboratory has been recommended for ISO 9001 quality certification, a distinction achieved by only a few clinical laboratories in the U.S. Focus Technologies' diagnostics products manufacturing group has been registered as an ISO 9001 certified facility since 1998. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is concerned with the quality processes that result in client satisfaction and lead to quality improvement. The ISO 9001 standards describe the 'good management practices' intended to ensure that an organization will consistently deliver products or services that meet their client's quality requirements. The Company expects to receive certification in March 2003.
