TORONTO - Walter Gilbert, PhD, will be given the Biotechnology Heritage Award June 12 at the BIO 2002 International Convention and Exhibition in Toronto.
Gilbert, who is a renowned Harvard-affiliated Nobel Prize winner, is the co-founder and chairman of Paratek Pharamaceuticals, Inc.
The Biotechnology Heritage Award recognizes individuals to have contributed to the development of biotechnology.
Gilbert will receive the award with his colleague, Phillip A. Sharp.
