Inviro Medical Devices Names New Board Chairman, Board Member, CFO, and EVP of Distributor Sales

Article

ATLANTA -- With the appointment of a board chairman, another experienced board member, chief financial officer, and executive vice president of distributor sales, Inviro Medical Devices reports it has secured seasoned executives for top leadership and management positions, as well as completed recruitment of its U.S. sales force. These efforts will support the companys aggressive North American launch of the Inviro Safety System and its flagship infection control product, the InviroSNAP!® Safety Syringe.

Dr. Tony Holler, appointed to the board of the infection control products company during April, was named chairman of the board this August. Holler was one of the original founders of ID Biomedical Corporation and held a number of executive positions with the company, including CEO. He resigned from the vaccine manufacturing company in December 2005 upon the completion of its acquisition by GlaxoSmithKline.

Todd Patrick, former president and chief operating officer of ID Biomedical, also has been appointed to Inviro Medicals board. He brings considerable commercial and financial experience within the biomedical industry, as well as a strong background in intellectual property matters, all highly relevant to Inviros future development plans, particularly in regard to its infection control products.

Inviro Medical Devices also named Michael Poelking as chief financial officer. In a career spanning nearly three decades, Poelking has held financial leadership positions at numerous high-profile companies in multiple industries, including manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, consumer products and business to business. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of GF Health Products, Inc. a manufacturer and distributor of durable medical equipment servicing the home and long-term health care industries.

Veteran healthcare sales and marketing professional Michael Atkinson also joins the Inviro Medical Devices team as executive vice president, distributor sales, and will focus on growing existing relationships with major distributors addressing the alternate care market. Formerly, he served as president of SafePro. Inviro Medical recently entered into an exclusive, long-term agreement to sell, market and distribute SafePro safety syringes in the U.S. and Canada. Atkinsons efforts will both balance and enhance Inviros historic emphasis on the acute care market as the company expands its lines of safety syringes and other infection control products.

These high caliber leaders help position the company for long-term success, says Gareth Clarke, chief executive officer of Inviro Medical Devices. Dr. Hollers expertise has already been instrumental in securing a recent $12 million round of funding. Mr. Patrick adds considerable, highly relevant experience to our Board. Mr. Poelking is a driven transformational leader who has a tremendous record of developing successful corporate strategies and earning the trust of key constituents. In addition, Clarke adds, Mr. Atkinson will enable our innovative infection control products to expand into physicians offices, surgical centers and long-term care facilities.

In addition to these appointments and activities, the companys U.S. sales team for the InviroSNAP! Safety Syringe and its other infection control products is now in place. Five regional vice presidents now ensure comprehensive coverage across the United States:

Michelle Fleming, Southern Region, based in Dallas, Texas

Ted Curry, Western Region, based in Sacramento, Calif.

Charles Farry, Southeast Region, based in Charlotte, N.C.

Rick Fedie, Northern Region, based in Minneapolis, Minn.

John Farneth, Northeast Region, based in Pittsburgh, Pa.
