SOLANA BEACH, Calif. - Officials from the nation's largest not-for-profit health plan have selected Futura Medical disposable safety scalpels for use in their hospital system.
Kaiser Permanente officials selected the scalpels after assessment similar products on the market and analyzing ease of use, performance and safety attributes.
The three-year sole source product agreement was announced March 27. Futura's safety scalpels include automated retraction of the blade.
