KALONA, IA- The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued 510(k) approval to CIVCO Medical Instruments for their rolled latex-free transducer cover, NeoFlex. Colored blue to differentiate them from latex covers, NeoFlex covers offer distortion-free scanning and will come in a variety of sizes to be used with most general purpose and endocavity transducers. NeoFlex covers combine the advantages of latex without the hazards of latex proteins.
