Sage Products LLC announces that it has been awarded the sole source contract for oral care products from HealthTrust Purchasing Group, LP (HPG). This is the third consecutive multi-year sole source agreement that HealthTrust has awarded to Sage.
In this challenging healthcare environment, its even more important that we demonstrate clear value to our customers. I believe we received this contract from HealthTrust because we were able to show a positive ROI, with proven clinical prevention outcomes, says Chuck Young, vice president of corporate accounts for Sage Products.
The definition of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) has recently changed and Sage is uniquely positioned to address this new opportunity with a comprehensive approach to oral care that includes innovative products, education and compliance materials, and unique monitoring and data tracking to reduce hospital-acquired pneumoniaboth inside and outside the intensive care unit (ICU).
