IDWeek, which had its inaugural meeting in October 2012 in San Diego, is a joint scientific meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) , the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) , the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA), and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS). This years event was held Oct. 2-6, 2013 in San Francisco and attracted the worlds leading clinical thought leaders in healthcare epidemiology, infectious diseases and infection prevention.
